Muriel Agnes Hines Skinner, born July 30, 1915 in Hartford, CT passed away on October 26, 2011 at Apple Rehab (Plainville Health Care Center).  Muriel was the widow of Aro Harold Skinner of Plainville who passed away in 1969.  Her parents were Christopher and Elizabeth (Donahue) Hines of Hartford, CT.  Muriel was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Marion and Robert Savage, Shirley and Howard Brisbin, Catherine Hines, her brother James Hines and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mildred and Donald Skinner.  

Muriel graduated from Weaver High School and worked in Hartford until she moved to Plainville and married in 1946.  She was a stay at home Mom until she began to work as a legal secretary and retired in 1973.  Muriel spent her time with her garden, crocheting little animals which she constantly gave away, and many hours with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She loved to play bingo and to go bowling and doing her crossword puzzles.

She leaves her four daughters and son-in-laws, Kathleen Bianchi of Plainville, Elizabeth (Betty) and David Ouellette of Plainville, Linda and Bill Frenette of Bristol, Joan Fontaine and Del LaPointe of Florida and Donald Bianchi of Plainville.  Muriel had eleven grandchildren whom she divided her time with.  Debbie and John Ludko of Plainville, David Bianchi of Plainville, Joel and Sheryl Ouellette of Bristol, Jennifer and Eric Svensk of Vernon, William and Melissa Frenette of Bristol, Timothy and Cheryl Frenette of Bristol, Stacy Brewer Frenette and Charles Brewer of Bristol, Eric and Patricia Fontaine of South Carolina, Andy and Shana Fontaine of Florida, Lynn LaPointe of Florida and Dana and Stephanie LaPointe of Lebanon.  Her beloved twelve Great-Grandchildren included Sarah, Alexis and Luke Ludko, Justin and Jacob Svensk, Cory Ouellette, Charles and Gregory Brewer, Morgan and Zoe Frenette, Xander Fontaine, Marleina Fontaine, Alexandria Wayman and Zoe Brock.  Muriel also leaves several nieces and nephews.  

The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff at Plainville Health Care Center South Wing 2, especially Liz, along with all the nurses and aides who cared for Muriel.
