Janis Lanette Hodges was born October 14, 1960 in Atlanta, GA to the late Reuben and Dorothy Hodges. She attended Atlanta Public Schools.
Janis was a care giver, she was employed at Northside Hospital. Before she became ill she took take care of her grandmother and her father.
Janis loved kids, she did not birth any children of her own, but she claimed and helped raise all of her nieces, nephews, best friend’s kids, cousins and the list goes on and on. Janis made sure that each holiday was special for kids, the magic word was “FUN”.
Janis was the family travel agent.
She exchanged Life for Immortality Thursday March 30, 2017 at Grady Memorial Hospital.
