Veronica “Roni” Rita Fischer R. N. lost her courageous 9 year battle with both breast and ovarian cancer on November 7, 2009 at 1:00A.M.
Beloved wife of Dr. Carrol I. Fischer, Jr. Loving and devoted mother of Lindsay Veronica Fischer Munson (Casey), Carrol I. Fischer, III (Kacie), and the late Lauren Veronica Fischer. Loving Grandmother of Tate Jaxson Fischer. Daughter of the late Rita Klemm Rogowski and Stanley F. Rogowski. Sister of Delia Kennedy and Stanley F. Rogowski, Jr. Sister in law of Jeanne Hickman, Edna Rogowski, and Darryl Hickman. Godmother , aunt and grandaunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
“Roni” was born July 18, 1951 in New Orleans. She attended the Academy of the Holy Angels and Charity School of Nursing becoming a Registered Nurse. She worked for many years in her profession and eventually retired to raise her family. She was loved and respected by all.
