Veronica Stevenson

March 28, 1964 – January 4, 2021

Veronica “Dolly” Stevenson was born Veronica Dollrinia Cook to Timothy and Veronica Cook on March 28, 1964 in Washington, DC.

In 1998, the Stevensons relocated from Washington, DC to Coleridge, NC where she worked in the hospitality field. Her expertise in administrative duties as well as her warm and welcoming demeanor quickly made her a well-liked and valuable asset at multiple properties in the Asheboro area for over 20 years.

Dolly possessed a variety of skills and natural traits that made her an invaluable member of her family and her love for her family and friends will not be forgotten. Her love for football and cooking made Sundays at her home something to be remembered. Dolly held the virtue of family very high and she loved children. Though she didn’t have any, she became a second mother to any child she met. Her protective and supportive nature made her a staple in the lives of every one of her family members and cemented her status as a matriarch. She was always there to help in any way that was needed and her presence will forever be felt and deeply missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Veronica Cook (Coleridgel: sister Yvonine and Ralph Peters (Maryland); brothers, Timothy Cook (Siler City, Arthur and Camilla Cook (Maryland): sister Evelyn and Milton Williams Asheboro); six nieces and nephews, Calvin Peters (Maryland), Timothy Cook Jr. and Kimberly Cook (Siler City), Arthur Cook Ir. (Maryland) and Mark and Markeada Cook (Asheboro); and a host of great-neces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Dolly’s indelible impression will be carried on in all of our hearts. This world is a better place for having had her in it, and it will never be the same now that she’s
