LANETT – Mrs. Sarah B. Rogers, 92, of Lanett died Tuesday, March 28, 2017.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her two daughters, Gloria (George) Buttram of Ranburne, Alabama, and Angela (Danny) Smith of Lanett; four grandchildren, Christy (Adrian) Carpenter of Valley, Allison (Chris) Richards of Lanett, and Lyn (Carole) Joyner and Richard (Cristy) Buttram, both of Ranburne; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Doris B. Jones of Bowdon, Georgia.

Born July 27, 1924, in Troup County, Georgia, Mrs. Rogers was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was an active member of Sunset Heights Baptist Church and later of West Side Baptist Church, where she taught Girls’ Auxiliary and Sunday School, sang in the choir, and participated in the Woman’s Missionary Union.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, William Curtis Rogers.  She was the daughter of the late James A. and Rosa E. Brand.
