PATRICIA ANN SCOTT

January 23, 1942 – April 8, 2015

Patricia Ann Scott was born in Memphis TN  to Julius Scott and Jane (Mae Lee) Morgan who preceded her in death.  She had one younger sister, Debra Devon Scott who also preceded her in death.

Pat spent the early years of her life growing up in Chicago, and attended school there.    She married Paul McGhee (deceased), 1960 in Chicago IL, and was the mother of two children:  son, Derek Lamont Bryant and daughter LaCleta Duwana Bukari (Atlanta).

Pat was a “free spirit” with a great sense of humor, and the courage to live life “Her Way.”   She moved to New York City, living there for a number of years before moving to Atlanta to care for her mother, where she became a self-employed painter and earned a reputation for reliability and thoroughness in the Atlanta area.  Pat loved to cook and was a good one.

Patricia quietly transitioned to eternal life Wednesday morning, April 8, 2015 in College Park GA, leaving to mourn her an older brother, Theophilus (Phil) Watson (Los Angeles); son Derek and daughter LaClete, and grandchildren: Jovan Bryant; Jordan McGhee (U.S. Navy);  and Rasheeta, Aatikah, and Khadeejah Bukari;  and great-grandchildren Cloud and Rhema McGhee.

God knew she was getting tired and suffering would be out of place.

He put his arms  around her and whispered,  “It’s time togaze upon my face.”

He gently touched her body and took her breath away.

Although we loved her deeply, it wasn’t meant for her to stay.

A heart of gold stopped beating.  Helping hands were put to rest.

To God be the Glory, to him belongs the best!
