Mrs. Martha Sue Wadkins Johnson, age 91, of Valley passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the EAMC Lanier Hospital in Valley.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Langdale, Alabama on August 10, 1924 to the late John L. and Arlene Wadkins.
She is survived by her son, Joseph “JoJo” (Dawn) Johnson, Valley; grandchildren, Janna (David) Cole, Valley, Jayme (Scott) McKelvey, Peachtree City, GA.; great grandchildren, Hunter Cole, J.D. Cole, Levi Cole, Graison McKelvey, and Decklyn McKelvey; great-great grandchildren, Braylon Cole and Elijah Cole; siblings, Nella Jean (Don) Sheridan, Ouida (Rod) Quacchia, Danny (Sandra) Wadkins; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Johnson; sister, Peggy John Wadkins; great granddaughter, Jaylee Cole.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Langdale United Methodist Church. Over the years, she worked as a registered nurse at the Langdale Hospital and the Lanier Carter Mill. She enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren.
