Josephine “Zitter” Howell Kinney, especially known as “Sophia The Golden Girl” during Carnival season, peacefully entered into eternal life at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Roy Albert Kinney, Mother of the late Roy Arthur Kinney and grandmother of the late Don A. Kinney Jr., daughter of the late Josephine Betz Howell and Charles M. Howell Sr., Sister of the late Valerian Toca, Regina Lahners, Lois Calo, Shirley Farrell and brothers Justin and B.G. Howell. Sister-in-law of the late Herbert Kinney. She leaves to cherish her memories: (4 ) children, Darlene Varriello, Jacqueline Uhack, Don Albert Kinney and Debra Kinney, her son-in-law Glen D. Uhack, Eddie Vila, and her daughter-in-law Maria Kinney, her brother Charles M. Howell, Jr., her sister Lorraine H. King, her brother-in-law Johnie King and Ralph O. Kinney, her Sister-in-law Judith Hill. (8) Grandchildren: Darlene E. Pecot( Randy Gilbert Sr., Roy “Ricky” Pecot (Joy), John (Thrisha) Varriello, Shane Evans, Jamie Kinney, Dawn K. Stover, (Roger), Roy E.“Bubba” Kinney (Kim), and Glen D. Uhack II. (12) Great Grandchildren: Eric R. Dupree (Jaime) Jr., Brandi Gilbert, Randy Gilbert Jr., Elizabeth Pecot (RC), William“ Billy” Pecot, (Ashley) Lillian Varriello, Madeline Varriello, Roy R. and Tyler Stover, Zachary and Taylor Kinney and Gabriel Evans. (5) Great Great Grandchildren: Destiny Hookfin, Jeremy Dupree, Allison Dupree, Izabella and Montana Pecot, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Dr. Robert Occhipinti M.D. for his care and compassion in treating her. Also thanks to Hospice for their loving care and compassion. She will be sadly missed but shall never be forgotten. She will always remain within our hearts.
