Jeretene Fowler Bridges was born on October 24, 1946 and passed away on June 18, 2015 at 68 years age.
She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Jeretene was married to Oscar Bridges who preceded her in death.
She was born in Mitchell, Georgia and made her journey to Atlanta at the age of 4. Her education started at E.C. Clement Elementary and graduated from Archer High School in 1964. She joined Hunter Hill A.M.E. and later 1 A.M.E. in Decatur, Georgia.
Jeretene’s parents, Jeremiah and Rotene Fowler, and one sister Gloria Fowler all preceded her in death. At 1st A.M.E. she was on the Stewardess Board for many years. She worked at Goodwill Industries and later Bank of America, from which she retired out of with 30 years.
She leaves to mourn two children, Lisa Michele Lewis and Reginald Fowler; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; six siblings, Walter, Evelyn, Marvin, Lee, Curtis, all of Atlanta and Vickie Mims of Austell, GA. She also leaves a very dear friend Mrs. Patricia George.
