Glenda Hill Waldrep, age 80, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Saturday, March 13th, 2021 at the Florence Hand Home in LaGrange, Georgia.
Mrs. Waldrep was born in Randolph County, Alabama on April 1st, 1940 to the late Houston James Hill and the late Zadie Mae Lindley Hill. She also was preceded in death by her husband Robert Waldrep; brothers, Mike Hill and Tim Hill, sister, Tweety Hill.
Mrs. Waldrep was a lady of deep faith and loved the Lord. She always enjoyed attending church when she was able to, loved her church family, and gospel music.
She and her late husband enjoyed traveling together. They could often be found at a local flea market and enjoyed attending “The World’s Longest Yard Sale” that spanned over and through six states.
Her travels took her to other places, but one of her favorites was the Biltmore House in Asheville, North Carolina. She was also an incredible fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed visiting Graceland.
Mrs. Waldrep loved her family and took on the role of being a grandmother to many of her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her children, Valerie Waldrep Bledsoe, Valley, Jason Lee Waldrep, Lanett; brother, Iverson Ellis (Judy) Hill of Beulah, Alabama. Her sisters, Janice Hudson of Cusseta, Alabama & Hilda (Woody) Branning of Slocomb, Alabama. A host of special nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews; beloved pets, Carey Ann, Gracie Lee, and Chloe.
