Eunice Whittaker Finan, born May 13, 1922. A native and lifelong resident of New Orleans died September 21, 2009. She was a long time Parishioner of St. James Major Parish in Gentilly and subsequently a resident and Parishioner of St. Matthew the Apostle in River Ridge. A devout Catholic, loving and devoted mother, wife and proud of her three sons and their accomplishments: “Johnny”, “Pat” and “Mike”. She served as a Secretary to Andrew Higgins during World War II, and was a retired Administrative Assistant for a Councilman-at-Large in New Orleans. After retiring, she volunteered at Mercy Hospital, Ochsner Foundation Hospital, and St. Anthony Nursing Home. She was a member of NAIM of River Ridge, Silver Trotters’ of St.
