Mrs. Edreen Bookman, was born in Richards, TX to the late Jeffery Watkins and Etter Mae O’Neil Stewart on June 7,1934.
Edreen met and married Stanley T. Bookman Sr September 10,1949 to this union nine children were born.
Edreen accepted Christ as her savior at an early age, she attended St. Mark Baptist church in Shiro, TX. Edreen loved her church and was a very faithful member until her health failed. She was also a faithful member of the Gold Star Wives of America., Juneteenth Association, WE Hall Alumni and a treasurer for Walnut Ridge Cemetery association.
Edreen loved gardening, cooking, spending time with her family and giving back to her community. She was a virtuous woman that was unselfish, caring and loyal. From each encounter for anyone that she came in contact, she left a presence that was unmatched.
Mrs. Edreen Bookman went home to be with the Lord on January 9,2022. She was preceded in death by husband, Stanley T. Bookman Sr, her parents, Jeffery Watkins and Etter Mae O’Neil Stewart; three sons, Rufus, Ervin and Donald Bookman, sister, Homizell Goodall, one brother, Melvin Stewart, granddaughter, Chincel Seymore Bookman, two great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
