Doretha C. “Teado” Tilquit, 81, passed away February 14, 2010. She was born in Vacherie, La. and was a resident of New Orleans, La. Doretha was the daughter of the late Leona Favorite and Harrison Cornelius, and wife of the late Raymond Tilquit Sr. Doretha is survived by her children Raymond (Joy), Jerome and Troy Tilquit, Beverly Evans, Kermit Woods and Remus Powell. Sister of Curtis Dickerson, Raynard and Lee Grant (Myrna) Cornelius, Eva Smith, Anna Mae Turner. Sister-in-law of Catherine Cornelius. She is preceded in death by her sisters Selina Anthony, Lillian Henderson, Lucille Blue, brothers Morene, Clarence, Lawrence, Samuel and Oliver Cornelius. Also survived by 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
