She was the loving wife of her pre-deceased husband, Keith Williams, to whom she was married for 43 years.

Donna was born on July 26th, 1953, in Waterbury CT. She was raised in Naugatuck CT by Loretta Loyer and the late Ronald Loyer.

She retired from Waterbury Hospital’s One Day Surgery department. There she also worked in IV Therapy and was respected for her expertise in that specialty. Donna mentored many nurses over her career and formed incredible, lasting friendships that continued throughout her life.

Donna’s exuberance for life was infectious, as was her smile. She lit up a room with her excitement and appreciation for every moment- nothing was ever taken for granted. She was lovingly deemed the President of the Sunshine Club, because she was always first to celebrate one’s joys or offer comfort in times of sorrow. Her empathy for others was a driving force in her life and was felt by all of those around her.

“Nana” grew up enjoying summers at her grandmother’s house on Bantam Lake and was so proud to do the same for her grandchildren. Her family spent countless summer days enjoying camp fires and canoe rides. She was never happier than when her whole family would gather together to share these moments.
