Deborah Lynne McLendon was born on February 20, 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia.  She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Ingram, and her parents Cecil R. and Doris L. Strong.

Lynne, as she was affectionately known, grew up and flourished in the Atlanta area.

She pursued a career in retail at Kessler’s Department Store in downtown Atlanta for many years.  Thereafter, she returned to her passion, helping and caring for others through nursing.  She   worked selflessly at Crestview Rehabilitation Center until her retirement.

On October 8, 1980, she wed John W McLendon Jr. and 36 years they enjoyed a love for travel, sports, bowling, gardening, and pets.  She was an avid fan of the Atlanta Falcons, World Famous Marching 100 Band of Florida A&M University, where her nephew was a member.

Deborah Lynne leaves behind to cherish her memory; a loving husband, John W McLendon Jr., son Andre Ingram, grandson, Darnelle Hurt of Cleveland, Ohio; great grand children  Jayla, Jaylynne, and Darnelle Jr of Cleveland, Ohio. Step children; Mr. John G. McLendon, and Mr. & Mrs. Jones (Ramanda). Siblings; Harold, Paula, Ouida, Thea, Patrice, Janice, Darryal and Gregory, she was preceded in death by sister Robbie Clowers.  Aunts; Juanita Burnette, Barbara Ingram, Elizabeth Joyce Cullins, Joyce Ingram, great aunt, Leola Childers, great uncle, Jack Parks of Greenville, Georgia. In-laws;, Larry McLendon, Mr. & Mrs. Shannon Kanion (Vickie), Bruce McLendon, Toni Price, and a host of relatives and friends.
