The Reflection of Life For Betty Mitchell Johnson
Betty Mitchell Johnson, was born May 28, 1937 to the late Lina Louise Mitchell (Dalar).
She attended the Chatham County Training School. Betty attended church at an early age and had an ear for music. She often could be heard teaching her nieces and nephews the old gospel songs. Betty was a faithful member of Centennial AME Zion Church until her health began to fail. She will be remembered for her joyous smile and upbeat spirit.
Betty was preceded in death by: two sons, Horace Goldston and Curtis Mitchell; her brothers, John Paul (JP), Ezekiel (Zeke), Edward (Ed), Charles, David (Dave) and Bobby Mitchell, all of Siler City, NC; and one sister, Addie Bell Womble of Siler City, NC.
Betty leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Eric Goldston, Rhonda Goldston, Rodney Goldston, and Garry Goldston; one brother, Jimmy Mitchell (Linda); daughter-in-law, Patricia Goldston; her special companion, Cleveland Johnson; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
