Betty Buras Risher died on September 12, 2009 at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her husband H. Lee Risher and her mother Mercedes Mattern Buras and her father Morris Buras. She is survived by her brother Maurice (Skip) Buras, sister in law Suzanne C. Buras and many loving cousins who always made her feel at home.
Betty was a native of New Orleans, La., and she was a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Dominic and St. Angela Merci parishes.
She retired from Bell South and Southern Baptist Hospital.
