Alma ‘Honey’ Henrietta Angell Watzke passed away at Canon Hospice on Tuesday,
July 20, 2010. She was 94, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Metairie, La. for the past 5 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph G. Watzke, by a daughter Jo Ann Watzke, by her mother Henrietta Barthel Angell and her father Merwin J. Angell, by three brothers John M. Angell (Annabelle), Merwin E. Angell (Irma), and Irving N. Gilbert (Juanita). Survivors include her son Edward J. Watzke (Faye), and daughter Janice W. Pinner (the late James F. Pinner, Jr.), and a sister Dorothy N. Angell. Also survived by 6 grandchildren: Daniel and Dennis Watzke, Diana W. Hunter (Scott), Dana W. Bishara (James), Ryan and Amy Pinner, and 2 great grandchildren: Carson and Ashtyn Watzke.
Alma was a graduate of Kohn High School. She was retired from Ed Smith Stencil Works at age 87, after 28 years.
