Wesley Dewayne Ray was born on August 22, 1988, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He died peacefully in Atlanta, Georgia on May 17, 2021. Wesley was the son of Wendell Keith Ray and Yvonne Elaine Williams. 

Diagnosed with sickle cell disease at an early age, Wesley nevertheless pursued life to the fullest. Wesley accepted Christ as his personal savior at a young age. Wesley was a member of the first graduating class of Charles A. Tindley Accelerated School in Indianapolis. Upon graduation, he received a full academic scholarship to Wabash College, where he majored in Philosophy.

He was recognized in the Wabash Student Honors Chapel as a Malcolm X Institute Student Merit Award recipient. Wesley was The Wabash Men’s Basketball Team Manager and a Letterman in 2009, 2010 and 2011. He was a member of a student group from Wabash that toured Japan. Wesley was also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity (Xi Rho Chapter). He was instrumental in bringing the chapter back to Wabash College in 2011, the same semester he earned his Bachelor’s degree.

Wesley moved to the New York/New Jersey area soon after completing college. Wesley furthered his education in 2017 by receiving a Mini-MBA in Digital Marketing from The Rutgers University School of Business. Wesley worked for some of the leading corporations in the digital space. While living in New Jersey, Wesley was employed by Rakuten, Inc. and later Adobe, Inc. In 2018, Wesley moved to Atlanta, Georgia.  He became a PPC Strategist for Thomson Reuters a multi-national media conglomerate and was pursuing an MBA at Georgia State University when he died from cerebral hemorrhages on May 17, 2021.
