Walter James Hogan Jr, age 81 peacefully departed this life August 7, 2009. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana June 3, 1928 and was a resident of Kenner, Louisiana since early 1960. Beloved husband of Josephine (Josie) Viviano Hogan for 54 years. Loving father of Walter James Hogan III of Plano, Texas, Christine Hogan McKinney of Norco, Louisiana and the late Maria Hogan Stentz. Father-in-law to Rosina Maria Hogan of Plano, Texas, Alan McKinney of Norco, Louisiana and Col.William C. Stentz, USAF. Grandfather to two precious grandchildren Sarah Rose Hogan and Christopher James Hogan both of Plano, Texas. Brother-in-law to Catherine Giarrusso and Louis Mazaroli. Walter leaves behind many nieces and nephews and longtime friends and neighbors. Preceded in death by his father Walter James Hogan, mother Sarah Hogan and brother George T. Hogan. A graduate of SJ Peters High School in New Orleans and a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy. Served on the USS Harry E. Hubbard and the USS Frank E. Evans.
