A Brief Sketch of Life
TyJuan Powell, son of Katrina Hoskins and Dawan Powell, was born on May 31, 1993, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
TyJuan professed his hope in Christ.
TyJuan attended Indianapolis Public Schools #46 and #49. He graduated from Northwest High School with the class of 2012. TyJuan continued his education at Indiana State University (ISU) in Terre Haute, Indiana, where he majored in Business and Audio Engineering. While at ISU he pledged Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity in 2012. TyJuan’s pledge name was “Token” and he formed a brotherhood with his fraternity members.
TyJuan loved his family.
TyJuan was always right behind his mother, Trina, smiling with his big dimples and his bright smile. She could not say “No” to him when he flashed that big smile and dimples.
TyJuan was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Mahogoni Powell; grandmothers, Geneva Hoskins and Cynthia Arnold; great-grandparents; uncle, James “Hopper” Hoskins, Jr. and his best friend, Devin White.
TyJuan leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Katrina Hoskins (Frank Bellamy); father, Dawan Powell; son, Ameris Powell; brothers, Davon Hoskins, Dawan and Logan Cameron Powell; sisters, Asia Yeakey, Jamie Hoskins, Ayanna Bellamy, Wanya and Myraya Powell; nieces, Zariah Hoskins, Skyllar and Sidney Powell and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
