His Story

Tommie Leroy Foxx was born February 2, 1938, in Siler City, NC to the late Leon and Lillian Foxx. At an early age as the oldest son, Tommie began working with his father on the farm. On February 22, 1958, he married the love of his life, Annie Selle Jordan-Foxx. They were married 62 years, to this union three children were born (Morris Dale, Randy and Sheva). Tommie was a devoted and faithful member of Jordan Grove A.M.E Zion Church until his transition. Tommie worked at Selig in Siler City, NC and then at Central Carolina Community College until he retired in July 2013. 

Tommie had a selfless, caring and giving spirit. As a devoted father and husband, he cared for his wife and daughter until their transition. Tommie would give to those in need no matter who you were; family, friend or stranger. If anyone was ever in a bind, he was there to help. Everyone that knew Tommie, could count on him being early.

On Thursday, December 2, 2021, God called him home. He was preceded in death by his wife; Annie Selle Jordan-Foxx, daughter; Sheva Foxx, granddaughters; Marnis Foxx and Tosha Dunlap, father; Leon Foxx, mother; Lillian Foxx, sisters; Florence Coble and Mae Jean Foxx, brothers; Leslie Foxx, Lawrence Foxx, Earl Foxx, Robert Foxx and Ronald Foxx. He leaves to cherish his legacy his sons; Morris Dale Foxx (Mary Anna Foxx) and Randy Foxx (Carol Foxx), grandson; Morris Dale Foxx, Jr. A niece that he took under his wing and loved as a daughter, Linda Foxx. Sisters; Annie Bailey, Helen Handon, Charlene Foxx and Sylvia Johnson. Brother-in-laws; Guy Coble,

London Alston, Adriene Jordan (Janie), TerryJordan (Annette), and Gene Jordan, sister-in-laws; Patricia (Swillar) Bowden, Gertrude Jordan, Doris Foxx and Priscilla (Ann) Jordan. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
