Richard was born October 18, 1942 in Manchester, NH, son of the late William Roger and Marcelle (Plaisance) Bellemare. Raised in Oakville, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Watertown High School, class of 1960. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy and served for four years before his honorable discharge.
His career was in the grocery business and he retired from DiLeo Bros as the warehouse manager in 2005. His love for people brought him to LaBonnes Market in Watertown where he worked part-time until 2015. Rich loved sports and was a diehard Red Sox and Giants fan.
