Myron “Tat” Unton Hanner was a caring Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Friend. He departed this life on December 14, 2021 at the age of 70, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born to Fred and Margaret Hanner on April 24, 1951. Myron was the second oldest of five boys born to this union.

He attended JS Waters School in Goldston NC until its desegregation in 1968. During his high school years at JS Waters, he enjoyed playing on the basketball team and was remembered for his shooting ability and love of the game. Once Myron was transferred to Chatham Central High School in Bear Creek NC, he continued to play basketball, and added football to his list of extracurricular activities. He proudly graduated in early June 1969.

Myron met Ms. Johnnie Mae McIntosh while attending high school. They later married and settled down in Bear Creek, NC to start a family. Together they had three loving daughters. After marrying, Myron accepted employment at Pamona Pipe Company in Goldston, NC. During this time, he also served on the board for Head Start. After many years at Pamona Pipe, the company was relocated and Myron began working for Mountaire Farms. Needing a new adventure, he attended truck driving school in Lexington NC and eventually began working for Darrell Andrews Trucking,

In 1993, Myron married Danice Clark and together they settled down in Siler City, NC. Myron will forever be known for his easy going spirit and his ability to make people laugh.

He was preceded in death by: his wife Danice Hanner; parents, Fred and Margaret Hanner; brothers, Fred Hanner Jr (Hattie) and Norman Earl Hanner (Lisa); sister Eliose; and step-grandson Lewis Farrish.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three daughters, Marian Taylor (Fredrick) Siler City NC, Annise Alston (special friend Michael) Asheboro, NC, Nicole Hanner (special friend Jermaine) Siler City, NC; a stepson, William Carl McIntosh Siler City, NC; brothers, Tracy Leon Hanner (Gwendolyn) Bennett, NC, Samuel Graylon Hanner (Janice) Pittsboro, NC; sisters, Pearlie Williams (Linel) Sanford, NC, Delores Degraffenreid Philedaphia PA; nine grandchildren; one great-grand child; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
