Mesut Kovankaya, 47, a computer programmer with Florida State University Health Center, passed away November 26, 2015. He was born November 15, 1968, in Kirklareli, Turkey, to Ilhami Kovankaya, who survives and the late Selvet Kovankaya. He is also survived by his wife, Pi-Ching Huang; his children, Irfan Kovankaya and Yunus Kovankaya; and his siblings, Ridvan Kovankaya, Onur Kovankaya, and Selda Narin. He also leaves behind many friends and co-workers, who will all miss him dearly, both locally and abroad. He was a member of the Istanbul Cultural Center and the Tallahassee Islamic Community, board member with STARS Charter School, loved to read, was very community oriented, and most importantly, was a caring, loving and dedicated husband, father and friend.
