Marvin William Hedgepeth was born August 18th, 1937 in Durham, NC. He was the second son of Ada Watson-Hedgepeth and Mack Hedgepeth, Sr. Marvin grew up in the loving care of his Grandmother, Sarah Watson and Grandfather, Weldon “Papa” Watson in Siler City, NC. He graduated from Chatham High School in 1955 and served in the U.S. Army. 0Marvin was a man of service and support to others. He was a long time member of Gees Grove A.M.E. Zion Church and served as an usher, choir member and trustee.
His wonderful example of how to live a life pleasing to God will be honored and used as a guide by his daughters: Michelle HedgepethSmith and Danielle Hedgepeth-Brower.
Grandchildren: Jayden Smith, Zane Smith, Mikel Brower & Kallen Brower.
Nieces and Nephews: Adele Hedgepeth of Philadelphia, PA; Adrienne Adams, Miami, Fl; Aleisa Wilson of Mount Holly, NC; Kenneth Maynor of Fairbanks, AK; Jerry “Rodney” Adams, Larry Adams and Tyrone Adams all of Philadelphia, PA.
Many fond and happy times will be remembered by his host of cousins, in-laws and friends near and far.
