Lyell Headley, 89, of Bristol passed away on Monday April 12, 2010 at Bristol Hospital.

Lyell was born on June 10, 1920 in New York City a son of the late DeCourcey and Irene (Roberts) Headley.

Mr. Headley was a US Army veteran of WW II and had been a bus driver for the New York City Transit Authority.

  Lyell was the consummate family man. His joy in life was being with and providing for his family. His favorite pastimes were watching boxing and following the political scene.

Lyell is survived by his wife Joyce (Hamilton) Headley of Bristol; his daughter Ida Jones of Rochester, NY and his daughter and son-in-law Maxine and Randolph Howell of Bristol; his grandchildren Andrey Hardy, Marshall Jones, Genelle Howell and Randolph C. Howell; his great-grandson Samuel Hardy; his brother Earl Headley of Yonkers, NY and many nieces and nephews

He was predeceased by his brother George Headley.
