Mr. Johnny William Meadows Brown was born on January 10, 1950 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia to Mary Frances Meadows and William Paxton. He was called home to be with our Lord on Friday, September 25, 2015.

Johnny was raised in Atlanta, where he graduated from Frederick Douglass High School. As a lead guitar player, he went on to pursue his dreams as a musician in which he toured with Bobby Rush, Chuck Strong, Clarence Carter, Bobby Blue Band, and Little Milton.

He leaves behind a loving and devoted wife of thirty-three years, Mrs. Dorothy Ann Brown; four lovely daughters, Shalesia Meadows, Sharon Meadows, Patricia Brown, and Angelia (Dontae) Brown; three loving sisters, Virginia McCalla, Brenda Fallen, and Carrie (James) Miller; one brother, Willie Joe (Mildred) Fallen; fourteen grandchildren; father-in-law, Jimmy Lee Brown, Sr.; two sisters-in-law, Celestine Brown and Theris (Lody) Pointer; brotherin-law, Jimmy Lee Brown, Jr. and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
