Survivors: wife, Rosalene Tanner of Raleigh; parents, Johnny Cooper Jr. and Shirley Ann Gilmore Cooper of Raleigh, children; Jonathan (Lakreisha), Jeremy (Precious), Abigail, Chelsea, John Christian and Madison; brothers, John “Lorraine”, Thomas (Yolanda) of Raleigh; sisters, Carolyn “Dee Dee”, Tanya (Larry), Karen (Brandon) all of Raleigh; 6 grandchildren, Adrian, Jamari, Zikia, Trinity, Laila and Denesha; special friends that were more like brothers, The. Rev. Dr. Johnny L. McCullers and Deacon Curtis Boykin; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
