Ed began his successful career in education as a teacher in Woodbury, CT. He later became a principal in Bristol, CT retiring in 1987.
Ed was devoted to his family and was very proud of each of them.
Edmund was predeceased by his grandson, Kyle Muckle, his sisters, Elsie Eckert and Grace Dayton; and his brother, Arthur.
Edmund was very proud of being the recipient of a Purple Heart for wounds sustained at the Anzio beachhead during WWII. He was the recipient of several other medals including the Bronze Star.
Ed was a gentle, quiet man respected by all who knew him.
