Jackie Nathaniel Jackson, lovingly known as “Big Jackie” by family and friends, was born on November 3, 1951, the second child of fourteen to the union of the late Reverend Curtis Jackson, Jr., and Elizabeth Jackson in Spartanburg, South Carolina. At the age of three, the family relocated to The Bronx, New York, where he started his education and at the age of nine, the family moved to Amityville, Long Island New York, where he continued his education in the Amityville school system.
Besides working and the military, Big Jackie had a love for fishing, playing the guitar, gardening, grilling, and building bow and arrows. His favorite color was anything blue. He also loved to eat cornbread with buttermilk, fish and grits, and apples.
Big Jackie entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at the Southern Regional Hospital in Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Curtis Jackson, Jr.
