Everett Tyson was born in Siler City, North Carolina to the late Ms. Myrtle Mae Tyson and Ernest Jordan on February 20, 1942. Everett departed his body and entered Glory on March 14, 2022. The Family gives All Praise to GOD for Blessing him to see 80 years.

As a young man he served in the US. Army and after his service Everett started driving big rig trucks for nearly the rest of his life. His passion for trucking inspired His sons to follow in his footsteps.

Everett was a member of Lambert Chapel Baptist Church all his adult life. He enjoyed the times he served on the Usher Board, Pastor Appreciation Committee and the Deep River Association Usher Board Union. He truly loved being able to serve others and share his testimony of being a cancer survivor and How Good GOD was to him. 

He was preceded in death by: sisters, Ethel Alston and Maxine Patterson; brothers, James Tyson, Charles Jordan and Arlen Cheeks; and his youngest grandson, Brannon Alexander Tyson.

All left to cherish his loving memories are: his children, Darian Tyson of Siler City, Stuart (Ressie) Tyson of Greensboro, NC, Felicia (Wayne) Austin of Monroe, NC, Shannon Tyson and his former wife, Ms. Bobbie Tyson of Asheboro, NC; his sisters, Ms. Mildred Brooks of Siler City and Ms. Edna Craven of Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Chris and Aaron Tyson of Asheboro, NC and Dominique McMillan of Greensboro, NC; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family members of the Jordans, Cheeks and Green relatives.
