Earl Michael Boyd passed away on Friday, August 14, 2009 at the age of 60. A native of New Orleans and resident of Mandeville, LA for 18 years. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Rita Busch Boyd; son Jason M. Boyd and daughter Karen M. Boyd. Beloved son of Gloria Trahan Boyd and the late Earl William Boyd. Brother of Claude J. Boyd , Sr.; Nephew of Joyce and Herman Messina. Also survived by cousins, four nephews and one niece.
A graduate of Redemptorist High School and Southeastern Louisiana University. He was a Cpl in the United States Marine Corps and a Vietnam Veteran. Designer for Marathon Oil Co; LA Offshore Oil Port and Designer/ Environmental Technician for Walk Haydel/URS Corp; Boy Scouts of America District Commissioner for Tri-Parish; Ad Alteri Dei Chairman for Catholic Committee of New Orleans
