Survivors; daughter, Khilyn Mitchell and her mother, Kendra Whitehead, both of Wendell; parents, Melvin and Yulean Cannady Mitchell of the home; sister, Candace Mitchell Bridgers (“Rod”) of Garner; paternal grandmother, Emma McBryde of Wagram, NC; paternal grandfather, Louis Southerland of Raeford, NC; a very special aunt, Del Cannady Leslie (“Steve”) of Raleigh; and a host of other aunts, uncles, relatives and friends, including a niece, Carsyn Alexandria Bridgers of Garner.
