Clarence Burke “CB” Brewster III passed away peacefully on July 6, 2009 at Ochsner Hospital. He was 80 years old and a lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. Son of the late Burke Brewster MD and Lydia Cire Austin. Beloved husband of Theresa (Terry) Pappas Brewster. Father of Brenda Brewster Stouder of Redwood City, CA; Burke Brewster of Denver, CO; Keith Brewster of Metairie, LA; Brian Brewster of Littleton, CO; Jane Brewster of Carrollton, TX; and Linda Brewster Meffert of New Orleans, LA.
Mr. Brewster spent 20 years in the wholesale liquor business with Glazer Wholesale Drug rising to Sales Manager before moving to the investment business in 1969. In 1981 he achieved the distinction of Leading Producer at Dean Witter Reynolds/Morgan Stanley, retiring in 1994 as Sr. Vice President. He was very proud of his wife, children and grandchildren, who are all taxpayers and independent people. His hobby was girls high school athletics. He gave the girls thousands of photographs he took of them playing sports and made hundreds of collages for seniors as mementos of their athletic careers which they will treasure always. Love to Terry for all she has done for us all.
