Charles “Bernie”Drew Sr., age 71, of Rockwood, MI, passed away in his home July 1, 2014, he had been in declining health. Bernie was born November 23, 1942 in Monroe, MI to Edward and Dorothy L. (Murry) Drew. He graduated from Airport High School then married Susan Hurst October 2, 1965 in Flat Rock. Bernie has lived in the Rockwood area his entire life; he was employed as a machine operator for the Merolite Co. for the last 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, the outdoors and especially being with his family. He was a member of The Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1157 Rockwood for many years. Bernie is survived by his wife; children, Tammy (Jeff) Calhoun of S. Rockwood, Charles (Tris) Jr. and Timothy both of S.Rockwood; grandchildren, Ashely (Matt) Hopson, Jeffrey, Timothy Jr., Jessica and Jacob; great grandchildren, Olivia and Hailie; siblings, Tom, MaryAnn, Ina, Mike, Sally, Linda, Russ, Sherry, Elaine, Loretta, Jim and Grace; half brother, Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Loise, Sidney and half brother Richard.
