Brian was born September 6, 1941 in Bristol, son of the late George W. and Audrey (Garrett) Welch. Raised in Plymouth, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Terryville High School, class of 1959. He had served honorably in the United States Air Force. He had been employed for thirty-six years as an equipment installer for Lucent Technology, retiring in 2000.
In addition to his wife of 53 years, Brain is survived by his daughter, Kristin L. Begin and her husband John of Torrington; his brother, Bruce A. Welch of LA and his grandson, John. He was predeceased by his daughter, Laurie B. Wenzloff.
