Mozelle Easter Burton Kallam, 89, of Spencer, VA died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Stanleytown Health Care Rehab Center, Bassett, VA. Born in Axton, VA on August 10, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Rosa Emma Turner Burton and Tony Stovall Burton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Arthur Burton Kallam, a daughter, Linda Marie Kallam and two sons, Ronnie Dale Kallam and John Wayne Kallam; sisters, Lucille Deborah McBride and Dorothy Virginia Hairfield; brothers, Tony Lester Burton, Woodson Harvey Burton, James Stovall ‘Billy’ Burton, Harold Dean Burton and Roy Bernice Burton. Mrs. Kallam was a member of Old Well Christian Church, Disciples of Christ of Spencer, VA. She was a member of Circle #1 – Women’s Christian Fellowship. Surviving are a daughter, Edith Inez Morris of Rocky Mt., VA; sons, Roy Burton Kallam (Brenda) of Danville, KY, David Waitman Kallam (Joan) of Spencer, VA and Benjamin Lee Kallam (Mary) of Ridgeway, VA; 11 grandchildren, Jeffrey Kallam, Lisa Eliasson (John), Maria Persons, Scott Kallam (Melanie), Sabrina Sutherland (Johnny), Gina Turney (James), Sherrie Reid, Brian Kallam, Katelynn Kallam, Michael S. Kallam and Brad Lawson (Stephanie); 17 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
