Monte Shockman, 76 of Boise, died March 31, 2012 after a year long battle with brain cancer. Monte was born July 31, 1935 in Berlin, North Dakota and moved to Boise, in Nov. of 1951. Graduated from Boise High School in 1953 and baptized February 5, 1955 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was married to his life time sweetheart Shirley on March 22, 1958 and found joy in his family with the birth of his daughter Tammy. Monte worked for I.M.L. freight for 18 years and after retirement he worked an additional four years for the Boise School District.
