Mollie (Silver) Shlien, 92, of Middletown, beloved wife of the late Jacob “Jack” Shlien, died July 29, 2008 at Seabury in Bloomfield. Born in Hartford on February 25, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rose Silver and had lived in Middletown all of her life. Mollie kept her young family together while Jack served his country in Europe during WWII. She worked at G. Fox and Company and later was active in the family business, Shlien’s Furniture Company.
