Moises “Alex” Gallegos, age 70, born in 1946 in Los Pinos, NM, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 following a long illness.

Alex was a long time resident of Albuquerque and had been married to his beloved wife, Mercy, for over 44 years. He is also survived by his loving daughter, Sandy (Bill) Bulloch of Albuquerque; and granddaughter, Sophie, who was the light of his life. Other survivors include sisters, Joan Martinez, Natividad (Paul) Casias, Christina (Sam) Vigil, Evila (Jimmy) Duran, Evelyn Stockham (Tim), Carmen (Frank) Montoya, Jenny (Martin) Vigil and Barbara (Orlando) Martinez; brothers, Orlando (Loretta) Gallegos and Ike (Gloria) Gallegos; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends who loved him and will miss him.

Alex is preceded in death by his father, Moises Gallegos; mother, Beatrice Medina; and brother, Lawrence Gallegos.

Alex was a Vietnam Veteran and was honorably discharged from the United States Army. He was a very caring and generous man always willing to help anyone out without hesitation. We are at peace knowing he will be busy tidying up Heaven, working on watches and making everyone laugh with his jokes. Alex will be sorely missed.
