Mitchell “Mitch” Ernest Kingbird, Sr., age 65, of Redby, Minnesota began his spiritual journey from the Rosewood Assisted Living Center in Chisholm, MN on Monday, January 9, 2017. Mitch was born the son of Ernest and Marie (Stately) Kingbird in Red Lake, MN on November 11, 1951.
Mitch was raised in Redby and attended Red Lake Elementary and Red Lake High Schools. In 1971, Mitch was drafted in the United States Army. Mitch was stationed in South Korea and served one tour of duty during the Vietnam era before being honorably discharged. Some of Mitch’s hobbies were fishing, hunting, being outdoors, planting trees and being with his family.
Family that Mitch joins again are his father; Ernest Kingbird, daughter; Pamela Jean Beaulieu, sister; Arlene Kingbird, brother; Darryl Joseph Kingbird and grandparents; Louis and Mary Stately.
Mitch’s memory will be carried on by his mother; Marie Kingbird of Redby, son; Mitchell Kingbird, Jr., sisters; Delores Neadeau of Redby, Della (Tim Sr.) Beaulieu and Brenda Sayers both of Red Lake, brothers; Robert (Gloria) Kingbird, Darryl (Trudy) Kingbird and Byron (Beverly) Kingbird, Sr. all of Redby, and numerous nieces and nephews.
