Mister Cordero “Mida” Williams-el, of Elkhart, died Friday, November 23, 2012 in Elkhart General Hospital. He was born December 13, 1986 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Edmond Williams-el and Kimberly Joiner.

He was preceded in death his great grandmother, Lela Mendoza; grandmother, Marie Broussard, grandfathers Edmond Williams and Walter Joiner; aunt Catherine Williams; uncle Darryl Sykes; uncle Henry Williams; one sister, Portia Williams-el; one brother, Ibn Williams-el; and his godmother, Dorothy King.Mida graduated from Ross Beatty High School, Cassopolis. He attended KVCC in Kalamazoo and GRCC in Grand Rapids. He was a good brother and friend. He had an outgoing personality and his goofiness always made people laugh. He was a wonderful father and had a way with the ladies. He thought he was “L’il Wayne.”Family and friends will greatly miss Mida.

He is survived by his father, Edmond Williams-el of Chicago, Illinois and his mother, Kimberly Y. Joiner of Dowagiac; two daughters, Aesha Williams-el, Alesha Williams-el; one son, Corde’ Williams-el, and twin boys on the way; grandfather, Arthur Broussard of Elkhart, Indiana; grandmother, Velma Williams of Chicago, Illinois; five sisters, Malika (Joey) White of Chicago, Illinois, Victoria Robinson of Minnesota, Joan Alicia Williams of Chicago, Illinois, JoAnne Williams of Chicago, Illinois, Jacqueline McCullough of Dowagiac; seven brothers, LaMonte’ (Doreen) Joiner of Cassopolis; Ahmed Williams-el of Munising, Amin Williams-el of Ionia, Jordan Lee of Niles, DaShaun Curtis of Cassopolis, Ashton Danzy of Indianapolis, Rodney Lee, Jr. of Cassopolis; eleven aunts, Cheri (Maurice)Thomas of Dowagiac, Cheryl (Ozell) Green of Dowagiac, Sava Sykes of Elkhart, Indiana, Keisha Maclin of Atlanta, Georgia, Dyetha (Ann) Mendoza of Elkhart, Indiana, Jessie Mae Williams of Chicago, Illinois, Christina Williams of Chicago, Illinois, Josephine Williams of Minnesota, Maria Williams of Minnesota, Linda Cook of Chicago, Illinois, Kari Auer of Dowagiac; five uncles Michael (Saisha) Joiner of Chicago, Illinois, Keith (Murla) Joiner of Elkhart, Indiana, Andre (Mona Lisa) Broussard of Elkhart, Indiana, Quandell Broussard of Elkhart, Indiana, Ricky Dean Williams of Minnesota; god sister,Porcha McKinley of Chicago, Illinois; a special person in his life, Shonte Sanders of Vandalia; two great nieces, one great nephew, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
