Miriam Elizabeth Clary Lauterbach, 95, of Union Bridge, died Monday, March 23, 2020 at home.  Born January 10, 1925 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Kent) Clary and James Clary.  She was the beloved wife of the late Rev. Maynard Lautherbach.

She was a pastor’s wife and served God her entire life. She was a Sunday school teacher, member of the choir and led children’s ministries and summer vacation bible outreach. She faithfully attended and supported Northwest Baptist Church and Bark Hill Bible Church. Miriam was a pillar of faith amongst her family. Everyone that knew her loved her spunky, vivacious, feisty, high energy spirit. She was a devoted homemaker and caretaker, serving her family, friends and community most of her life. Miriam was a lover of the outdoors: enjoyed gardening, motorcycle riding, traveling nationwide with her camper and loved the water, including water sports. She also enjoyed working with her hands: sewing, knitting, crocheting and embroidery. You would often find her reading her bible and daily devotions and took a great interest in novels and books from her extensive home library.

She is survived by daughter Marlette Stafford and husband Michael Stafford of Union Bridge; son Austin Lauterbach and wife Mary Lauterbach of Upperco; sister Jeanette Wilson of Hampstead; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by brothers James, Wilson and Franklin Clary.
