Miriam E. “Gay” Hamilton, 87, of Clinton, died at 1 a.m. Oct. 8, 2011, at the Vermillion Convalescent Center in Clinton.
Born October 20, 1923, in Lynchburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of George Siepman and Ethel (Brown) Siepman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Van Duyn; her second husband, William Hamilton; and two brothers, Byron and Raymond Siepman.
Survivors include one son, Tom Van Duyn of Arizona; three daughters, Candy Conklin of Florida, Susan (Jerry) Zanandrea of Clinton, and Janie (Mike) Minnett of Greenwood; and stepson Scott Hamilton of Virginia. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Tracy Rogers, Ted Conklin, Jim (Shannon) Howell, and Trey (Angeline) Howell; one step granddaughter, Aimee Merrell and her family; four great grandsons, Conner and Ian Rogers and Brayden and Evan Howell; and sister-in-law Dorothy Siepman.
