Minnie Garza, 93, passed from this life on September 14, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Minnie was born in Marlin Texas, to Paulo and Cleofas Fierros; she was the youngest of 11 children. She was happily married to Rudy Garza for 73 years. Minnie was a devoted mom to her three children. Minnie loved her Lord and her church, Agape United Methodist Church, and was an active member of the United Methodist Women (UMW). Minnie taught bilingual preschool for many years at Horas Alegres and she loved telling stories about her kids at the preschool. She was an avid reader and usually read books that were spiritual in nature. She was a wonderful seamstress and took great pride in all the details such as covering the zippers. She would sew the trendy fashions for her children and beaded the wedding gowns for both of her daughters. Minnie is survived by her husband, Rudy Garza; her children, Herlinda Rojas and her husband Victor, Rudy Garza, Jr. and Eva Garza; her grandson, Adam Nanez; and several nephews. She is predeceased in death by her parents and her siblings.
