Milton Wilhelm, age 90 of LuVerne, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Milton Harry Wilhelm, the son of Albert and Della (Kienker) Wilhelm, was born on September 11, 1930 in Johnson, Nebraska. Milt graduated from Vernon Consolidated High School in 1947. On February 8, 1951 he was united in marriage to Jolene Sanford in Badger, Iowa. While raising their family on the farm, Milt also did plumbing, heating and carpentry.

Milt is survived by his children, Linda Schwan of Walnut Creek, California, Jennifer Bilstad of Somers, Becky (Ed) Stewart of Gowrie, Joni (Randy) Dvorak of Bagely, Paula (Doug) Stanek of Fort Dodge, Patti (Jack) Hjelmeland of Harmony, Minnesota and David (Beth) Wilhelm of Hardy; twenty-five grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; brothers, Loren (Betty) Wilhelm of Boone, Ken (Susan) Wilhelm of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Ron (Theresa) Wilhelm of Lincoln, Nebraska; sisters, Margaret Hippen of Ames, Donna (Roger) Day of Humboldt, Elaine Johnson of Urbandale and Sharon McCormick of Rochester, Michigan, sister-in-law, Joanne Melling of Fort Dodge, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jolene; son-in-law, Tom Bilstad; three grandsons; four sisters and four brothers.
