Milton Dreith, 87 passed away on December 12, 2017 from complications of Alzheimer Disease. Milt, as everyone knew him, was born on May 24, 1930 in Denver, Colorado to Samuel Dreith and Martha (Tribelhorn) Dreith. He was a graduate of North High School class of 1949 in Denver. After high school Milt enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Korean War from 1950-1954. He served proudly in the Navy as a Seabee and spent most of his Navy career in the Philippines. Upon completing his tour of duty in in the Navy in 1954, Milt came back to Denver and became an over the road long distance truck driver for IML for almost thirty years. At the same time he built a towing business Dreith Company in Commerce City, Colorado next door to his father’s auto body shop. Milt had several towing clients, but he was most proud of the work he did with the Colorado State Patrol. When Milt cut back on his towing business he began decking semi cabs which he did well into his seventies. In his spare time Milt enjoyed hunting elk near Meeker, Colorado. When he wasn’t hunting or fishing he would be tinkering at his shop. Milt was a man who could build any type of machine to do any task imaginable. Milt was also a dog lover. Where ever Milt went you would see a dog close behind. Over the years he had several dogs, but his dachshunds were his little buddies. Where he went, they went including hunting on his ATV. Milt also enjoyed hanging out at his favorite diner talking to his buddies over a cup or two of coffee every day. He especially enjoyed joking with and giving his favorite servers a hard time. Milt is survived by his sisters Coralyn Allomong and Bonee Desnica. His is also survived by several nieces and a nephew. He is preceded in death by his twin brother Myron Dreith and his sister Vivienne Grosse.
