Those left to honor Millie’s memory are her 2 sons, Rodger L. (and Janice) Meador of Knoxville, Iowa and Robert E. (and Kathy) Meador of Knoxville; daughter, Judith D. (Cy) Kuennen of Phoenix, Arizona; her 6 grandchildren, Jimmie Meader, Ronda Willbee, Scott Meador, Jason Meador, Jennifer Bailey, and Tina Meador; 16 great-grandchidlren; her brother, Marvin DeHaai of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister, Lelah Robson of Newton, Iowa; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Johanna (Shoemaker) DeHaai; sister, Myrtle Jenkins; her brother, Melvin DeHaai; her 1st husband, Lawrence E. Meador; and 2nd husband, Rayford Sutphin.
Millie worked in the factory at the Maytag Company for 32 years, 2 months, before retiring on December 31, 1982. After retiring she cleaned houses and worked at the Golden Corral for 14 years.
She was an extremely hard worker and enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, embroidery, and camping.
