Mildred Strack, a lifelong resident of Jersey City, has died on October 14, 2014 at home. She was retired from the Jersey City Medical Center after a lengthy career as a medical technologist and supervisor of the hematology lab. Mildred was a proud graduate of Seton Hall University with a degree in Biology.

Mildred is survived by her devoted and very dear sister Mary Stracquatanio; her many loving nieces Rosemary Johnston and her husband Edwin, Joan Zielinski and her husband Bob, Helen Willis and her husband Larry, Kathleen Webster and her husband Fr. Alexander, Susan Stracquatanio and her husband Jeff Jones, Carol Baker and her husband Keith, Judy Sullivan and her husband Jerry, Rosemarie Scelfo and her husband Peter, Anne Hill and her late husband Richard, and Rita Briotte and her husband Bob, and the late Margaret Finlay;  nephews Vincent Stracquatanio and his wife Patricia, Robert Stracquatanio, Angelo Stracquatanio, Jr. and his wife Dottie, Emanuel Stracquatanio, Jr., John Stracquatanio and his wife Pat, David Stracquatanio and his wife Donna, and the late Vincent Stracquatanio, and the late Michael Stracquatanio and his surviving wife Ann;  cousins, and sister-in-law Lillian Stracquatanio. She is predeceased by her beloved brothers Angelo and his wife Sophie, Emanuel and his wife Catherine, and John Stracquatanio.

Mildred was a lover of animals and frequently cared for strayed cats.  Her constant devoted companion to her last days was her cat, “Pretty Boy”.
